About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Agronomy Field & Application Associate to join our team. This role focuses on applying crop protection products, dry and liquid fertilizers, and supporting branch operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and values safety and efficiency in all field and shop activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply crop protection products, dry and liquid fertilizers according to agricultural standards
  • Maintain and service fertilizer spreaders and application equipment
  • Load and unload trucks safely
  • Operate and maintain trucks, farm vehicles, and equipment
  • Follow HAZMAT and safety protocols, including USDOT and FMCSR standards
  • Keep the Branch Manager informed of operational, customer, or equipment issues
  • Provide support across multiple locations as needed
  • Assist with office, shop, and grounds maintenance
  • Help walk-in customers and answer phone inquiries
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Note: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Agriculture or farming experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Welding experience a plus
  • Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission
  • Experience operating forklifts, skid loaders, and wheel loaders
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Preferred Licenses / Certifications:
  • Valid Driver’s License; Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred
  • Applicator’s License
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 60+ lbs and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to read fine print and use a keyboard
  • Clear hearing for phone communications
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
Work Environment
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and chemical
  • Occasional work at heights and in extreme weather conditions
  • Frequent loud noise environments
