Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Field Agronomy & Equipment Operator to join our team. This full-time role focuses on applying crop nutrients and protection products while maintaining equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, operating machinery, and working outdoors, with a strong focus on safety and quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Blend and apply fertilizers and crop protection products accurately according to recommendations and label directions
- Operate application equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain vehicles, application equipment, and facilities in excellent working order
- Perform basic mechanic work on assigned vehicles
- Track and maintain applicator logs and records
- Communicate product inventory levels and operational updates to the Location Manager
- Load and unload inbound and outbound inventory
- Ensure timely delivery of products to local destinations
- Promote a positive image of the business with customers and prospects
- Train and assist seasonal employees as needed
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Prior agronomy or equipment experience is a plus, but not required
- Mechanically inclined with hands-on problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work outdoors and operate machinery
- Preferred: Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL with endorsements
